Can I write up my own document stating that I am giving my ex a trial run of unsupervised visits without going to court for it?
I have an order of protection against my ex, and supervised visitation for him and our child but the visitations have been going well.

Under the laws of all states in this coutnry there is nothing prohibiting you from drafting a document between you and your "ex" to be signed by both of you concerning a temporary trial concerning unsupervised visits concerning your child. However, to be on the safe side, it might be wise to consult with a family law attorney about the creation of any such document and having it filed with the court.
