In  bankruptcy filing, traffic tickets fall into what is known as "non-dischargeable" debt. This means that even if the court grants your request for bankruptcy, these debts are not wiped out or "discharged". You still have to pay any penalty and/or and fine assessed for the violation. As a general rule, any debt that incurred as the result of breaking the law (including traffic violations) cannot be discharged by declaring bankruptcy.
