What is the process to follow if my mother wants to take my father’s name off of the deed of the house?
We haven’t seen him in over 10 years and he has not paid any mortgage in that timeframe. He basically abandoned the house. What papers should be filled out?

If your father's name is on the home that you have written about you cannot unilterally take his name off title. He needs to sign a deed to that effect to some third person. I suggest that your mother consult with a real estate attorney to see what her options are concerning a possible quiet title action against your father to get his name taken off title to the property you have written about.
