Wht to do if I am a minor who was caught shoplifting?

Let me make it clear that I am an honors student and this was my first offense and very outside of my character. I am supposed to go to court the 28th and I am not sure how to respond. Even though I am a minor, the investigator interviewed me without parental consent or without either of them being present. Also, the investigator was very unprofessional and he talked to me about his college party days and how he hopes I get out of trouble so that I can drink in college. This occured on a military base and they forgot to take away my military ID. Because of all these indiscressions, an ex-lawyer told me that they have to drop the case. Is this true? How do I make it happen?

Given what you have written I suggest that you consult with a criminal defense attorney to assist you in the matter that you have written about. What you have written about makes no sense as to the investigation process. First, you should not have spoken with the investigator and invoked your rights per the Miranda decision.

It does not make sense that the case will be dismissed against you.
