What to do if I signed a pre-nup prior to our marriage which began 4 years ago?

In the prenup it states that a prespecified amount will be paid to me upon divorce. it says there will be no provision for alimony or any other monies paid to me. Can I ask for alimony since my spouse had extramarital affairs and emotionally/physically abused me. My spouse is also the primary breadwinner and I have only worked 2 years out of the 4 years we’ve been married.

Given what you have written, I suggest that you immediately consult with a family law attorney to ascertain whether or not the pre-nuptial agreement that you signed four (4) years ago with your spouse is valid under the laws of the state where it was entered. If valid, then you are stuck with what you agreed to.
