When does a power of attorney terminate?
My mother is very ill. Currently, my sister has power of attorney. I received a letter from my sister’s attorney that I am not to attend my mother’s funeral. My mother had a Will made out several years ago and I am the executor. Does my sister have the right to stop me from attending the funeral? Does her Power of Attorney end with my mother’s death?

A power of attorney does terminate upon the death of the principal. Even if it did not, the will would control over the power of attorney. I am sorry your family is so fractured as to result in such a command to stay away from your mother's funeral.
