At your first appearance called an "arraignment" you can expect to be read the criminal charged against you and be required to enter a plea of guilty, not guilty or no contest. I suggest that you consult with a criminal defense attorney immediately about how to defend the charge against you. You do not want to be representing yourself in a criminal matter.
