What can happen if I damaged a video camera that a neighbor had directly aimed at my swimming pool?
My 23 year old daughter and her friends sunbathe and swim there. And my wife and myself occasionally take a late night skinny dip.

You could be sued by the neighbor for the cost or value of the camera, and could potentially face criminal liability for destroying another's property. The correct response, if you believe that your neighbor is invading your privacy, is to either file a complaint with the police about that, or possibly even bring a lawsuit against the neighbor--not to destroy his property, which now exposes you to criminal and civil liability (you are not allowed to "take the law into your own hands") in this fashion.
