No, they would not be liable, even if it was their float or a float they were sponsoring, unless they caused you to fall off in some way (for example, it was their float, under their control, and a railing on it was not maintained and broke making you fall, or the driver gunned the engine causing you to stumble, etc.). Your employer is not your insurer, and is only liable when at fault for your injury.
