Do you have an employment contract, union agreement or is there a conmpany policy that gives you protection? Did your treatment have to do with any type of actionable discrimination or retaliation? If, you can answer no to both questions, then you are an "at will" employee. Accordingly, your employer can set the terms and conditions of employment much as it sees fit. This includes lowering your pay rate, with or without notice. While seemingly unfair, it is the law.
