What can I do about my job classification title and my pay?

My company has a policy that indicates you must work for a certain level manager to be classified as an

executive assistant. I no longer work at that level, so my classification was changed to a lower one, however my job

responsibilities have not changed. This policy only exists in the admin category and does not clarify the skill or work

output differences. Is this legal?

Unless this workload in some way violates the terms of a union agreement or employment contract, then you have no claim here. The fact is that a company can set the conditions of employment much as it sees fit (absent some form of legally actionable discrimination). Therefore, as an "at will" worker, if you do not want accept this workload, you can either refuse do it but risk termination or quit.
