Can i get paid for work while the story is undergoing construction?

I work at a fast food restaurant and the store is going to be closed for three
weeks because they are going to do some construction work. Can I receive any
portion of my wages while the store is closed?

Unless you have an employment contract or union agreement which provides that you be compensated under the circumstances, you are not entitled to pay for the time that your workplace is being renovated/repaired. The fact is that most work relationships are "at will". This means that a company can set the conditions of employment much as it sees fit (absent some form of legally actionable discrimination).
