Deductions from Reimbursements for Exempt Employee
I am a salary exempt employee in AZ. I owe my
employer money. Can my employer deduct this
debt from money he owes me in reimbursements
for travel expenses or will he get in trouble
if he does so? Do I simply need to just give
him permission?

He can deduct the money with your consent: while the law does not allow employers to deduct or withhold employee money without employee consent (or without a court order requiring it, like court-ordered wage garnishment), deductions with consent are perfectly legal. The consent should be given in writing, to document it, and should state exactly how much can be deducted, both in total and per paycheck.
