Can the California break and meal policy for employees be waived?
I am a field engineer who works at different locations every day. My company is
instituting a electronic punch in and out policy to ensure these breaks are taken
and the lengths are correct. I would like to know if there is a way to waive the
right to meal breaks. As adhering to the policy, cause an extra hour plus of work
each day and additionally is encouraging the input of false information.

Unfortunately, employee rights under the law laws cannot be waived; the law does not let employees waive these rights, since otherwise, there would be a very strong incentive for employers to pressure their employees to give up their statutorily guaranteed rights
