my friend is incarcerated for these charges plus a sell charge,conspirarcy, and unlawful use of communication charge as well all are pending.

The minimum I could find for intent to sell (either federal or state) was 5 years and up. It all depends on the drug being sold and whether or not this was a first offense drug charge. Because I don't know the exact charge I don't know what the penalty for conspriacy would be other than at least 1 year minimum. The unlawful communication is probably just an administrative penalty.
Bottom line, it can add up to alot of time.
