If I’m divorced and not receiving my alimony from my ex who lives out of state, where do I file to have the terms of the decree enforced?
In the decree it states that he is to pay taxes on the alimony also. I’m in one state and he is in another .Would it be cheaper for me to file here or where he lives? Do I have to have an attorney since I have the divorce decree?

First what you need to do is to find out is if his home state would require that you obtain a judgement in your home state in order to eforce the alimony order. If you do then enforcement would be along the lines of having it filed and accepted in the state in which he lives. Then hiring an attorney there to help you enforce it. Speaking with an attorney in his state may save you a lot of time and money. Good luck.
