What is considered a hostile work environment?
I was called a **** by a superior at work today. When I complained to the manager, I was told she dodn’t have time for “this childish bullshit”. Is there anything I can do? I’m uncomfortable going to work now.

One isolated comment is not considered sufficient to support a claim for hostile work environment. It needs to be pervasive. If you have a human resournces department at your work, you should report the incident to them, and tell them how you feel. If not, keep a log, beginning with the recent comment, of everything inappropriate that is said. If the harassment becomes pervasive, then I would seek out an attorney.
