If I fall down a flight of stairs with no lights in hallway and no railing to grab onto is the owner liable for my injuries ?
There was no railing to grab onto and the motion light faced the other direction so I could not see the stairs very well. I fell down about 12 steps and I was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

There are various factos that need to be considered when trying to determine whether or not a property owner has liability for injuries suffered on their property. Given the information you have given, it sounds like the proerty owern would likely have some liability here. I would suggest making the property owner aware of your fall immediately, if you have not already. If this is a commercial property, make a report and ask that a claim be established with the owner's property insurance. If it is private property, ask that a claim be established with their homeowners insurance. I would sugges you at least obtain a consultation with a personal injury attorney. These types of claims can be difficult to handle on your own. Most personal injury attorneys offer free consultations.
