If your father is at-fault in an accident, and members of the household did not take reasonable measures to prevent him from driving after knowing that his license had been revoked for medical reasons, the household members could be sued and held liable for negligence.
Negligence is the failure to exercise due care (that degree of care that a reasonable person would have exercised under the same or similar circumstances to prevent foreseeable harm).
Liability for the household would include property damage to the other vehicle(s) not at fault in the accident and the personal injury claims of the individuals not at fault in the accident. Those personal injury claims will include medical bills, pain and suffering (an amount in addition to the medical bills) and wage loss.
