Additional commission and tip pay

My former employment tips were obtained and split between each employer; Adding additional pay to our check each week. I was fired the last day of the pay period and when fired is it legal, in the state of Tennessee, to deduct that additional pay from the employers check.

Usually if it is earned, it must be included unless state law provides for the contrary.
