Am I eligible to apply for the new immigration law if I finished my high school in the US and lived here for 8 years?
However, I came to the state on a student visa and am still holding an F-1 visa.

If you entered in lawful status and continue to maintain lawful status, why would you need to apply for deferred action? It does not make sense. You are eligible for other work related visa options once you complete your degree.
