Am I entitled to compensation for being discharged?
I filed a sexual harrassment complaint against my boss. The administrator recording the complaint insisted on telling my boss that I was the one filing the complaint. Then 2 weeks later, I was let go.

If you were fired due to having filed the complaint, which is very likely the case unless the employer can document some other significant issue (e.g. excessive absenteeism, provably poor performance, violating company policy or ignoring supervisor instructions, etc.), that is illegal retaliation and you could sue for monetary compensation--the law does not allow employers to fire employees because they brought a sexual harassment or discrimination claim. Based on what you hvve written, it would seem to be difficult for an employer to prove that termination two weeks after bringing a complaint was not retaliation. You could also sue for compensation for the harassment itself. You should consult with an employment law attorney about possibly bringing a legal action.
