Am I liable if my adult son has an auto accident South Carolina
My son is 19 and lives with me. I bought a car for him to drive and it is covered
under my auto insurance policy. If he were to be in an accident and injuries
exceeded my personal liability limits, would I be personally liable for the
remaining or would he?

If the car is titled in your name, whether as owner or co-owner, you could be held liable if your son was at-fault in causing an accident. The owner of a vehicle can be held liable when the person driving the car--including an adult child or co-owner--is at-fault in causing an accident.
