california statue of limitations personal injury lawsuit

What is the statue of limitations for filing a slip and fall personal injury
lawsuit? My wife had a fall at a big store and broke her shoulder. We will be
looking for a lawyer, but need to know what the statue of limitation is for
California. We are in Lafayette, Ca.

This would be the statute of limitations for personal injury. In your state (California), this is two (2) years, calculated from when the injury occured (i.e. when your wife fell), not from when she went to the doctor or hospital, or when she became aware of the injury's severity.
