Can a company not hire me based on age
I put in an application to a place and they inadvertently sent me an email that was meant for their coworker which said that I was not old enough to drive clients. The application did not ask how old I was and I meet age requirement for driving clients at other facilities

You can't be refused being hired because you are *too* old, if the reason you are not hired is that you are age 40 or over. But no law protects the allegedly too young from hiring, so a company could refuse to hire someone because they believe he or she is too young for the role. Only the middle-aged or older are protected by law.
