Can a rental place make me pay for a stolenTV that was pawned by the perpetrator?
My television was stolen out of my apartment. A police report was filed but the TV showed up at a pawn shop. The rental place is trying to make me pay the pawn on it. Can they do that?

If you were renting a television where it was stolen and later pawned but recovered but there is a pawn fee for it, you are obligated to pay the fee for the return of the television since you rented it. Your recourse would be to sue the person who stole it for the money you expend to retrieve the television from the pawn shop.
