Can a tax collector deny payments on back property taxes?
I am going through probate at this time and the tax collector wants all the back taxes at once. I am disabled and getting a fixed income. I can only pay partial payments. Can the deny or refuse the payment?

Anyone to whom you owe a debt which you defaulted on--i.e. a debt which you did not pay when it was due--including a tax collector is entitled to insist on payment in full of all amounts which you owe; they have the choice of whether to accept partial payments or a payment schedule, and therefor may refuse partial payments if they choose.
