Can a victim wait to report a crime until the perpetrator is about to leave prison?

My Dad is deservedly in prison for molesting a child, and is up for parole in a few years. This worries me, but it doesn’t worry my step family. I wonder if they have another victim waiting in order to keep him in prison when the time comes. Are their any legal issues with this?

As long as the charges are brought within the "statute of limitatons, or time period during which a charges must be brought. In Missouri, it appears that charges could be brought up to 30 years after the victim's birthday, so yes, they most likely could brind additional charges if there more victims. Each victim's case is separate, so that fact that he served time for one case does not prevent him from serving time on another.
