There can be no legally actionable discrimination in the workplace. This means that here can be no lesser treatment of an employee based on their race, religion, gender, nationlity, disability or age (over 40). As to age, there can be no discrimination based on an individual's age if they are over 40 years old (to protect older workers). However, employees under 40 are not so protected. Accodingly, a younger worker can be discriminated against. The fact is that not all employees need be treated the same or even fairly. Therefore, unless you are covered by a union agreement or employment contract that guarantees you a raise, then you have no claim here.
