Can I be stopped just for driving without seatbelt?
I was pulled over for not wearing seatbelts. There were no other charges.

In your state (Virgiania), if you are under 18, you can be pulled over for not wearing a seatbelt: for minors, it is a "primary offense."
If you are 18 or over, it is only a "secondary offense": you cannot be pulled over for it, but if pulled over for another reason, may be ticketed.

Although seatbelt laws vary from state to state, you can be stopped and ticketed for not wearing a seatbelt resulting in a fine for the violation. If you don't know the amount of the fine, you can contact the court clerk for that information.
