Can i be written up by my boss almost a year later for something i didnt do?

I was written up by my boss today for
supposedly calling them an asshole at a
work outing. I didn’t but they said they
had witnesses that heard me so i asked
them. They both told me they never heard
me say anything and that they were not
aware that their names were involved in
this situation. I was framed.

Unless this write-up violates the terms of an employment contract/union agreement or constitutes some form of legally actionable discrimination, you have no claim here. The fact is that most work relationships are "at will". This means that a business can set the conditions of the workplace much as it sees fit. Accordingly, you have no claim here.
