By "buy off a warrant", do you mean just pay a fine and have it cleared? The fact is that no matter what the underlying charge is, you will still have to appear in court before a judge reagrding the warrant. For further information and advise, you should consdult directly with a criminal law attorney who practices in the area of where the warrant was issued.
