I am so sorry for situation. If your Mother is at the advanced stage of dementia and can no longer be cognizant of her actions or sign her name then the Power of Attorney will not be held as valid. You will need to apply to the court to become the conservator of her estate or her guardian for purposes of making these decisions. Good luck.
