Can I get a suspension and write-up for the same incident?
I had an incident at work. My employer told me they were giving me both a write-up and a suspension. This hasn’t happened yet because I have to talk to the head bosses. However, I got my new schedule for the month and there are 2 suspension days already scheduled into it. Can they schedule a suspension when I haven’t even talked to anyone about the incident? Can they suspend me 2 weeks after the incident?

Unless you have an employment contract, union agreement or company policy which provides otherwise, you are an at-will employee. Accordingly, your employer can set the terms and conditions of the workplace much as it sees fit. This includes who to discipline and how. Therefore, getting both a suspension and write-up for the same incident is perfecty permissable, whether or not you have yet spoken to the head bosses.
