Under the laws of all states in this country if you are entitled to your mother's be,ongings under her Will, you have to wait until there is a filed probate and order of distribution allowing certain items to be distributed to the designated benficiaries under the Will including yourself and your siblings. I suggest that you consult with a Wills and trust attorney further about your matter if there are future issues with your step-father.
