Can I handle a mediation hearing on my own?
We have a business, home and 2 children in the case. There has been no fighting over separating our property and we have verbally agreed who gets what. She does have a lawyer and I do not .

If she has a lawyer, you want one, too. Otherwise, against an attorney who, presumably, is experienced in mediatiation as well as in presenting or making his/her case in arbitrations and trials, you will be at a signficant disadvantage. Even if you and your soon-to-be-ex-wife have an oral agreement, her attorney is bound by professionl ethics to negotiate the best deal possible for her and will try to maximize what she gets. With a business, a home, and two children involved, it's well worth the investment to retain an attorney.
