Can I have a lawyer appear for me for a bench warrant?
I have a bench warrant for missing court dates when I was away at college. I was wondering if was possible for a lawyer to handle this situation or do I have to go in person? It was for a disorderly conduct/ swearing in public.

Many times criminal defense attorneys are retained by people who have outstanding bench warrants issued against them to get them recalled and to represent the client in the underlying matter leading to the issuance of a particular bench warrant. I suggest that you hire an attorney to assist you in your criminal matter where most likely you will not have to go to court initially.
