So long as the employee makes at least the minimum wage (as provided for in their state), that they would have earned if being paid per hour, then they can be paid on a per job basis. Minimum wage law must be complied with; per job pay cannot be used to try and get aound that law.

Yes, employees may be paid per job so long as the amount paid at least equals what the worker would receive if he/she worked on an hourly basis at that state's minimum wage--that is, you cannot use by the job payment to circumvent the minimum wage requirements.
