You are under no obligation to speak with the police, even if they come to your home. The fact is that you may inadvertently say something to incriminate your friend, or worse, yourself. If the police insist on speaking with you, do not do so without having an attorney present to represent your interests. Do not speak with the police alone no matter if they try to befriend you or, converesly, no matter how they try to intimidate you.
