I’VE BEEN PROOFREADING BUSINESS PLANS AND EXECUTIVE SUMMARIES OVER THE PAST 5 MONTHS AND HAVEN’T BEEN PAID? WHAT IS MY LEGAL STANDING? I HAVE EMAILS FROM 12/6/16 TO PRESENT CONCERNING WORK TO BE PERFORMED.

You can sue your former employer in small claoims court (as long as you have proof of your caim). You can also file a wage comlaint with your state's department of labor.
