You don't give much by way of details. However, as a general rule, an employer can hire and fire at will. This means that absent an employment contract or union agreement to the contrary, or a violation your ex-employer's own company policy or some form of actionable discrimination, no law has been broken. In other words, from a legal perspective, its action is perfectly permissable.
