Can I sue the driver that caused the car accident I was in?

We were in the fast lane on the highway when the car in front of us then hit its breaks. We hit the ar. In court, the other driver lied about what took place on the highway. We had a dash cam and it showed everything that took place.

Prior to filing a lawsuit, it may be possible to settle the case with the other driver's insurance carrier. Your property damage (cost of repairs to your vehicle) claim is separate from your personal injury claim.
If you are dissatisfied with settlement offers from the at-fault party's insurance carrier, reject the settlement offers and file a lawsuit for negligence against the at-fault party.
