If your son was at fault in the accident, you are liable because you are the registered owner of the truck your son was driving.  If your son was NOT at fault in the accident, then the fact that your truck was uninsured is not an issue.

If your son was at fault in the accident, your driver's license may be suspended for not having auto insurance.
