Yes, they may do this. If you were injured on the job, workman's compensation provides you compensation for your injuries it does not, however, force your employer to keep employing you for as many hours--over even at all--if you cannot work, either at all or as much, as you previously did. Employers are not required to employ workers who cannot work, or to give hours to people who cannot work all those hours. Your schedule and forward-looking or ongoing employment is completely separate from your entitlement to compenation for a work-related injury, and the one does not affect the other.
