If you are a tenant or even a guest at your parents' home, they are required to serve you with an eviction notice (30 days) as a pre-requisite for any unlawful detainer (eviction) action against you.

Once you are served with the 30 day notice, you are on actual notice that you need to start looking elsewhere for a place to live. If you do not move out in the 30 day time period, your parents can bring a lawsuit against you to evict you regardless of the fact you are related to them or not.
