Can they do that?
I work in Texas and my company suspended me today because they have footage of me running a stop sign but I do not recall ever running a stop sign. So I requested to see the footage but they are refusing to show it to me. Can they do that?

The fact is that uness this action violates the terms of an employment contract or union agreement it is legal. The reason is that most work relationships are "at will". This means that a company can set the conditions of employment much as it sees fit (absent some form of legally actionable discrimination). Accordingly, you could have been fired for the reason that you stated, for any reason or no reason at all, with or without notice.
