Generally, "personal services" contracts cannot be assigned, so employment contracts where a person is agreeing to work for a certain business under certain terms are not typically assignable. (This is due to a concern over forcing a person to work for someone he or she does not want to, which has connotations of indentured servitude or slavery.) The proper course is to have you execute a new contract with the new entity.
