Concealed Weapons Permit at the workplace.

In this day and age where threats and violence take place anywhere and often. What are the rules governing carrying a concealed weapon at the workplace. I have taken all the required training and met all the requirements to obtain my CCW permit in the state of NV. My work policy states Except where prohibited by law, employees will be advised and are not to bring weapons on company premises. Does that Statement infringe in my rights to carry?

An employer can set the conditions of the workplace much as it sees fit (absent some form of legally actionable discrimination (i.e. that related to nationality, race, religion, gender age, disability, etc.). Therefore, unless you were given the right to carry firearms at work under the terms of a written employment contract or union agreement, your company can prohibit firearms. This is true even if you otherwise have the right to carry. It's just the same as if you are over 21 and have the legal right to drink but drinking is prohibited on the workplace premises. If this is unacceptable to yo, you can complain but risk risk termnation or quit.
