What does an amended divorce decree mean?
I got divorced about a year ago. I just received a letter in the mail from the court that says it’s a divorce decree-amended. Included in the mail is a letter to update my address with the court. There is nothing else in it’ all the details from the old decree are exactly the same except for the amended part. What does that mean? I’m confused.

Any change in the divorce decree renders the new divorce decree amended.
Although only your address is being updated, the change in address constitutes an amendment or change in the original divorce decree. Therefore, the new divorce decree with an updated address is an amended divorce decree.
