Do all states require that an employer provide sick days to its workers?

My job said that it doesn’t have to give this time.

Most states do not require that a business provise its employees with sick time and ME is one of those states. Accordingly, unless a worker has an employment contract or union agreement that requires such time, an employer need not provide it. Exceptions to this are state and federal employees who do receive such time off.
